2008 REFEREE SCHOOL

25th anniversary.  Dates, Aug 15 - 17 / 2008

Established in 1984, the 2008 version will be the 25th edition of the ODHA/ODMHA Referee School!

The goal of the school is to provide a first class instructional forum to promote, support and develop the best possible officials for all levels of Minor amateur hockey.  The dynamic setting at the school gives brand new officials the basic instruction they require to get started in officiating minor hockey, while also allowing returning officials the opportunity and resources to upgrade their officiating knowledge in a focused and fun environment.  This year’s school will be based around a seminar format, giving each student the opportunity to learn all the aspects of the game from different and highly qualified instructors.  The one ice sessions also provide students with a more hands-on approach to some of the fundamentals association with becoming and elite official.

The Referee School is also scouted by the ODHA Senior Body – it’s a great chance to make an impression and to open the doors of advancement within the Branch and within the Hockey Canada Officiating program!
